Since its inception in 1993, District Informatics Centre, Bhopal always proved an important asset for the District Administration. Providing support services in design development and implementations of various MIS applications and databases.  It is Coordinating the District Administration for a better ICT setup. It’s a Hub of the IT in the District. NIC District Centre giving the training to the user dept also to make them self sufficient to operate computers and do their work smoothly. It is very important to mention here during elections DIC has played a big vital role for the whole election process.

 

City Civil Court Information System (CC-COURTIS):

                                   Here it is worth mentioning that DIC Bhopal is coordinating for a very prestigious pilot project of a National Level.  It has enabled generation of cause list which is hosted on internet for general public. A Number of reports and query are also generated through this software. District Court Bhopal will be having a big LAN setup of 90 Clients (Windows XP) and  Two Servers (Red Hat LINUX) , one for Data and other for Application and the Application is in Oracle 10 G. One DVB VSAT is installed for providing internet services to the district court. District Court's Website is also designed by DIC and hosted with the url http://bhopal.nic.in/dcourt/index.htm

Common Integrated Police Application (CIPA)

In first phase of CIPA in Bhopal 21 police station has been taken for computerisation and in second phase 13 more police stations have been covered .This is a National level project.

LAN Setup

District Collectorate having  a LAN setup ,connecting the Collector and  it's Reader ,Steno and other offices and sections  like Food, ADM, Reader to ADM,Arms Licensing, PGRC, DUDA, SLR, Nazarat, Finance, Gas Relief, Litigation, OS, LAO, RA, Election, Deputy Collectors which enable them to use internet  to communicate with different deptt. and to report to higher authorities, some of them using web based applications as well.

        

Training

DIC   has been providing  support to the Central & State Government by creating IT awareness ,skill development in the use of IT productivity tool. Time to time training programmes are conducted covering various  area  of   application  and  fundamentals  of computers to make them more IT aware and exposure to this field in various dimensions.
